Biological Medicine applied to alopecia in men II

In this post, we will talk about the second phase of Dr Cuadra's treatment: The Platelet-Derived Growth Factor, nanopeptides and ozone.

The new extraction technique of the Platelet-Derived Growth Factor

Once scalp micropigmentation has been conducted, the second phase of the treatment will start: the technique of the Platelet-Derived Growth Factor or PDGF.

This treatment consists of the injection of a substance at the intradermal level of the scalp. The substance that is injected is a compound made up of the following ingredients:

  • PDGF (Platelet-Derived Growth Factor) obtained from the plasma of the patient
  • Nanopeptides and multivitamins
  • Intravenous ozone

What is the technique comprised of?

The technique of the extraction of the Platelet-Derived Growth Factor, between 20-40 ml of blood is drawn from a vein on the arm of the patient, as is done for an analysis, in a test tube with an anticoagulant and is taken to be centrifuged. When the centrifugation is over, the platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is extracted. This plateletrich plasma undergoes a lysis treatment to degranulate the alpha granules of the platelets, from which platelet-derived growth factors are obtained, which will be injected into the scalp.

What effect do these Platelet-Derived Growth Factors have on the scalp?

The growth factors are proteins with an essential role in the tissue regeneration process; they are true biological messengers which regulate essential functions in the regeneration and reparation of damaged tissues, they increase blood circulation (angiogenesis) and collagen.

In addition to the platelet-derived growth factor, the injection of nanopeptides, multivitamins and medicinal ozone is added to create a highly fertile area around the bulb. The combination of these treatments manages to stimulate the bulb and within 4 to 8 months, hair starts to grow thicker and with much more vitality. A new bulb is not grown, but rather bulbs are enhanced.

What is the protocol of this treatment?

The first three sessions are conducted every three weeks and the rest of the sessions take place once a month.

After one year from the start of the treatment, a check is performed, during which the evolution is evaluated and a decision is made whether to continue with the treatment or not.

When would it be recommendable to do this?

Once the scalp micropigmentation treatment has been completed. Aswith micropigmentation treatment we will get visible results immediately and, subsequently, the growth factor will be stronger and the quality of the existing hair will be enhanced.

What are the advantages?

This treatment will enhance the quality of the hair that you already have and treat alopecia in an integrated manner from within, with a multidisciplinary focus and free from side effects.
