The selection of colour in micropigmentation
One of the most important technical aspects of scalp micropigmentation: is the selection of colour.
The scalp does not have a uniform colour and the tones vary based on the location: for instance, the hair on the sideburns and the eyebrows have darker tones compared to other parts.
For this reason, when selecting the colour to apply, we try mixtures of different tones which correspond to this heterogeneity.
When it is time to choose the colour, we focus on the tones of the sideburns, the crown and also the frontal part as well as other characteristic features, such as:
- The typology of the skin -(oily skin, dry skin, intact skin or unhealthy skin)
- The age of the person
- If there has been any previous interventions: e.g. clients that come with scars tend to choose darker colours which help with camouflaging the scars.
- The type of alopecia
- The preferred look
- The quantity of hair
The choice of colour is always personalised and adapted to the look and personal taste of the client.
